DESCENDING / EVŽEN ŠIMERA
The western façade of building A2 was transformed into a huge canvass that renowned artist and gravity painter Evžen Šimera chose for his work “Descending”. This technique   features paints following gravity downwards and thus “painting by themselves.” The drops of colours create continuous lines that are randomly deformed, forming tension between order and chaos.

FLOWER BUD / ČESTMÍR SUŠKA
Iconic sculptor Čestmír Suška breathes new life into old industry railway stations and water tanks, transforming function into beautiful works of art. During the removal of the industrial bakery, he preserved a cyclone separator used to make flour turning it into the elegant Flower Bud evoking a blossoming flower.

A HEAD FULL OF THOUUGHTS / MICHAL ŠKAPA
Michal Škapa’s work is provocative, and his graffiti mural A Head Full of Thoughts is not just a work of art, but a call for introspection. He created a representation of the chaos of the digital world in a walkway under a brick-façade building. Take up his invitation to stop and think about the ideas that constantly inundate us during our modern lives.

THE SUBJECT OF OUR CONVERSATIONS  / DAVID BÖHM AND JIŘÍ FRANTA
The only way to see this work in its totality and understand it is to walk around it. From close-up, it seems to be an abstract sketch, but from distance it takes on a more specific shape of a group of several abstract heads. This work is constantly shifting and transforming, making it timeless.

THE GEOMETRY OF DANCE / KAREL ŠTĚDRÝ
Karel Štědrý is a leading Czech painter whose works combine geometric elements with spontaneity. He uses a computer instead of a sketch book to dynamically change it, and he approaches his work like a dance where he closely adheres to the main idea.

ECHO / PETR STRANICKÝ
Petr Stanický wanted to use space at Vysočanský mlýn to express the feeling of construction that is holding a dialogue with its surrounding buildings.  His work is ambiguous: It can be a relic, a gazebo, or a source of creativity. The work unlocks the door to your own imagination and creativity while materializing the memory of a location that has undergone transformation.

REBARMAN / MICHAL CIMALA
Michal Cimala added his sculpture using concrete rebar to the park based on the location’s memory. Rebarman is an imposing statute with a fixed frame wrapped in iron fibres. He has a face, backpack, and shoes as though he was pulsing with energy.

TRICHODON / LUKÁŠ RAIS
Lukáš Rais uses iron for his sculptures: pipes, tubes, tanks, and even metal stands from old lamps, giving them new meaning. “Shape, scale, space, order, material: Those are the key to the statute so it stands on its own.” Rais explained.

TIME MACHINE / TOMÁŠ HLAVINA
Tomáš Hlavina’s Time Machine recycles elements from the former bakery and strengthens the location’s identity. Three helixes that originally moved flour became the foundation of a futuristic gazebo. Each helix is topped with a shape evoking an umbrella or a cog symbolizing time and cyclicity and their influence on individual lives. Originally functional, today the helixes are beautiful pieces with elegant curves.

LOAD-BEARING WALL / Prof. STANISLAV KOLÍBAL
Stanislav Kolíbal is a Czech avant-garde pioneer. His work here in a brick wall is based on an asymmetric staircase where coloured squares and their angles follow the stairs. These squares enter space and create a dialogue with their surroundings.

TWO SURFACES / V. CIGLER, M. MOTYČKA
This water element between buildings creates a clear rippling waterline from its spring to its outflow with the help of a washboard bottom. The surface of the water reflects the light, surrounding trees, and architecture, creating depth. Two Surfaces was created by Václav Cigler, a renowned artist that works with space, glass, light, and water, in cooperation with architect Michal Motyčka, who connects visual art and architecture.
